An image should carry
a world inside it.
Aniké uses the character of SoHo as part of the portrait. Architecture, passing light and the subject's presence come together in a concise fashion story with an international editorial sensibility.
Creative approach
How the story
was shaped.
The session was developed around the visual rhythm of SoHo. Michelle used the neighborhood's façades, streets and changing backgrounds to create variety while keeping Aniké at the center of the sequence.
Available city light and reflected light from the surrounding architecture shape the portraits. The approach preserves natural atmosphere while giving skin, styling and movement a polished editorial finish.
The project used a mobile, location-led production approach suited to a busy New York neighborhood. The published project does not list specific camera, lens or lighting models.
